This link leads you to the "advanced search" page of Seriously Fish. You can search according to many parameters such as Country, River System, Temperature, Water Parameters, Size and more. Fish profiles are detailed and comprehensive mostly with quite a number of photos.

The classic. Not much to be said here except perhaps that I find the profiles often too short and inconlusive for a fish keeper.

N.B. All links lead to non commercial sites. The order in which the links appear is not meant to be a rating, I wrote them down as they came to mind. I don't recieve any payment for the links, nor do I expect for my site to be linked in return. I am in no way responsible for the content of the linked sites, may it be in full or parts thereof. I do not necessarily share the opinions expressed on the linked sites.

Ferraqua - a web site dedicated to gobies, especially Rhinogobius spp, by Jutta Bauer, one of the leading specialists (i.m.h.o.) in keeping and more importantly breeding these interesting and absolutely mesmerizing fish. Her articles were published in a number of top class fish keeping magazines. The site is written in German language but you can choose "google translate" options in the top right corner of the home page.

The Parosphromenus Project - deals exclusively with endangered  Parosphromenus spp. It aims at establishing and maintaining a worldwide circle of breeders to save the genus from extinction. A highly commendable effort, which is supported by many well reputed specialists and scientists.

Remo Wiechert writes with authority about a genus on which information is hard to come by to say the least. Only a few selected species are introduced but the info about general care, acclimatization and feeding are well worth the read. Unfotunately only in German language.

The best specialized site about rainbow fishes that I have come across. Real in depth info about habitats and water parameters both in general as well as on a wide range of species.

Good info on all kind of catfishes.

Same as above.

"Fish travels" - a very nice site by Dr. Jörg Vierke, a well known author who is, inter alia, responsible for the description of a few fish species. Here you'll find articles on keeping and breeding a variety of species and many videos and photos next to travelogues. It is however written in German language but well worth the effort of translation.

Invaluable for those who do a bit of d.i.y. The link leads directly to the many different calculators but do browse the rest of the site too, it's well worth your while. Again in German language I'm afraid.
